Yesterday I completed the second tape from the Discovery album. As I am still on the preliminary part of the program, learning the techniques and how to breath correctly, etc, there is no any “spectacular” result or mystical experience to feel, yet. But everything will come in due time. We have to go step by step, increasing our level of consciousness (making it deeper) one step at a time.
Focus 10 is the second “base” level after Focus 3. The goal of the session is to make the body deeply asleep and your mind deeply awake and alert. The 30 min duration of the tape is nothing more than a progressing check in all parts of your body making each muscle is relaxed as deep as possible, so finally you find yourself sleeping, but awake.
Although yesterday it did not happen to me, I remember one of the previous times I did Focus 10, that I listened to a small snoring sound while following the instructions, to discover just immediately that it was me doing that sound! My body was sleeping, but I was still awake and alert.
Reaching Focus 10 quickly requires just a bit of practice. Simply, you need to learn how to relax physically. If you do yoga or meditation, or something related, you may know already that you can achieve this state of relaxation within minutes after some training. Not only this is good to get rid of your daily stress, but also it can make your body recover faster and grow stronger, being able to make it sleep with a level of relaxation that may not be usual to us. Anyhow, learning to reach Focus 10 is always a technique useful in everyday’s life, so time to practice again tonight! :-)
