As always, my Higher Self knows how to get messages to me in the most unexpected ways. Recently, I had a small internal argument with it, driven by my frustration at not being able to obtain clear information about my professional future. As a result, I found myself turning to the Tarot over and over again, asking the same questions repeatedly, and not always receiving the answers I was hoping for. Eventually, that began to frustrate me quite a bit.
While browsing through different blogs, I came across the work of Erin Pavlina, a psychic medium who offers readings by connecting with people’s Higher Selves. She has a blog, and I ended up spending the entire day reading it. In one of her articles, she talked about people who use Tarot as a tool for connection and readings. Her message was very clear: Tarot can be limiting, so it is better to set it aside and focus on strengthening your direct connection with your Higher Self, as this will allow you to receive clearer and more meaningful information.
That message felt like a direct response to my recent frustrations. It couldn’t have been clearer.
What I found most interesting about Erin’s blog is that her method for doing readings is very similar to my own approach. I don’t actually perform readings for others, but I use a similar process when I want to connect with my Higher Self or with my guides. The idea is to raise your frequency by visualizing yourself climbing a staircase toward higher planes. In my case, I always imagine myself ascending these stairs until I reach the entrance to the plane where my Higher Self resides, where I am greeted by what I call “The Guardian.” This figure always welcomes me, he appears as a kind, friendly elderly man in my mind. He doesn’t really block the way; rather, he is simply there to receive me each time I arrive.
From there, I go directly to the “home” of my Higher Self, which I imagine as a warm and rustic house, a place where I feel comfortable, safe, and at ease.
Moving forward, I intend to exercise and develop these somewhat dormant intuitive abilities in order to improve my connection with my guides. And it is quite likely that I will start relying less on the Tarot. Let’s see how this evolves.
